A new wind observation campaign and research and development project has started in Japan, and its implementation structure has been announced. This is part of the NEDO project "Research and Development for Establishing Offshore Wind Observation Methods," and aims to establish rational and practical wind observation methods offshore Japan. As a result, a guidebook for offshore wind observation, including offshore waters, is scheduled to be published.
Rera Tech will participate in research and development item XNUMX, "Studying the needs and observation methods for direct observation of offshore wind conditions," together with Kobe University and others. Kobe University will also be responsible for item XNUMX, "Understanding issues and investigating trends related to offshore wind condition observation."
Much of this project will be carried out at the Mutsu Ogawara Offshore Wind Observation Site, where numerous demonstrations have been carried out to date. As a publicly open test site, the site contributes to research and development in many fields, including wind power generation, and through this project as well, we hope to contribute to the development of offshore wind power and the accumulation of knowledge.
