[Installation] fuel cell for scanning riders

Large -capacity fuel cells that can be used for scanning riders (SL) observations have been installed with SL. This installation will be conducted in collaboration with Toyota Tsusho Co., Ltd., which has many achievements in fuel cell surveys using fuel cells, and is the first attempt to observe SL with fuel cells.

When observing with a vertical irradiation doppler rider or a windbun mast in a powerless area, the fuel cell used is about 100W output. However, since SL (WindCube) has a power consumption of 1,600W, AC power is basically essential.

In the future, it is expected that such large -capacity fuel cells will be practical so that stable SL observations can be performed even in powerless areas.
