Mizuki Konagaya
Past career
After graduating from the University of Tsukuba Graduate School (Meteorology and Climatology), he worked as an environmental consultant for 11 years, mainly engaged in consulting work related to renewable energy. In 2016, he enrolled in a doctoral program at Kobe University Graduate School as a working student and conducted research on offshore wind condition surveys. Leveraging the skills and connections he cultivated during his time at work and at school, he founded Relatec Co., Ltd., a Kobe University-based venture company specializing in wind condition surveys for wind power generation, in 2020 and serves as its representative. In addition, he will serve as a director of the Mutsu Ogawara Marine Meteorological Observation Center, which will operate Japan's first test site from 2024.
My vision and goals at Rera Tech Inc.
Under Relatec's vision of "creating a planet (town) where people want to live for 100 years to come," we want to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through our business. The "society" here is made up of both "global" and "local" wheels, and wind power generation, which we focus on, and especially floating offshore wind power, which is expected to develop in the future, are part of that. Renewable energy is one of the climate change mitigation measures that the world should tackle, and we believe that it will contribute to energy policy in Japan as a purely domestic energy source. We also aim to contribute to regional revitalization through port utilization and the development of domestic supply chains, and to utilize related research facilities and data for new research and development and student education. What we can do may be a small step, but we are working with all our heart to increase the smiles of people living in the future.
