After obtaining his PhD in Science from the Graduate School of Science at Kyoto University, he went on to study at Gifu University and Kobe University, before assuming his current position as professor at the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences at the same university in 2018. He has participated in numerous research and development projects both in Japan and overseas, including as the research and development manager for NEDO's "Demonstration Research on Offshore Wind Condition Observation System (Offshore Wind Condition Map) Project" and "Fixed-Bottom Offshore Wind Farm Development Support Project (Establishment of Offshore Wind Condition Survey Methods)," and is leading the domestic market as a leading expert in meteorological simulation research for offshore wind power development.
